Selling- Tips to help you sell your home

Surrounding the home
Make sure your landscaping is up to par by trimming the lawn, trees, planting flowers and making the overall appearance of the outside very clean. Also, be sure to put all outdoor equipment in storage to make the property look as uncluttered as possible.
Inside the property
Clean, clean, clean.  The best way to ensure a successful house showing is to make sure your house is clean.  Seemingly a no brainer, you might be surprised how many sellers overlook this simple fact. Make sure there are no stains in sink, tubs, tiles, carpets and make sure that you clean windows and mirrors so the true beauty of the property can be revealed.  You can also rid the home of unnecessary household items such as furniture or appliances and keep those clostest and countertops orderly.
Basic Repairs
If there are any simple repairs to be done, get to it! Broken cabinet or door handles, chipped tiles or paint, leaky faucets etc. can be a real turnoff to an interested buyer. Don’t let something as simple as a basic repair get in the way of selling your property. If you have any major repairs that need fixing, speak with your Sales Associate.
Freshen Up
Make for an inviting environment by freshening up your home and eliminating all odors from things like cigarette smoke, litter boxes, trash etc.  You can do this by emptying trash, bathing your pets, dry cleaning your curtains and carpets.  Also, place flowers, potpourri and air fresheners around the home.
Practice with a friend
Ask someone you know to come over and do a walk through of your home as if they were a buyer. Ask them to tell you if the home is inviting, clean, and well kept. Make the necessary changes.
